H&M Footwear 2012

Finally H&M is investing more effort in their footwear department. The current shoes and boots are a real proof. The quality is another question which can be answered by everybody, but improving the design is at least a step into the right direction. Because Zara isnt sleeping and has built a strong footwear offer during the last years. They managed to combine the right quality with modern designs. H&M cant fall back, because they are their biggest opponent. So, from the chelsea boots, over the new interpretation of the desert boot to the various brogues variations you can see their growth. If you ask us they should take a look at COS, the luxury version. They design our favourite shoes, the shapes and materials are more than on point, means the price isnt. But H&M has their customers, which are willing to spend up to 50 bucks for a fake leather shoe, which doesnt mean its wrong to do it. We would just like to see them increase the prices so they can justify higher prices. Because if you want to save money, dont start with your feet. They have to carry you a whole life…So take care of them.
