We are aware of the fact that we slept on this one, but dont blame or hate, just listen to the critics on the collection Donatella Versace designed with the help of H&Ms head designer Ann-Sofie Johansson. As you might know we will keep the focus on the menswear department, coz we know what we are talking about. You have to keep in mind that Versace had and has its own style, loud, offensive and very flashy. Understatement is a unknown word. A lot of people call it very trashy and especially the shirts, Gianni designed (100% silk), are one of their main items they were known for. They look like they were made for pimps, a lot of gold mixed with animal prints etc. To give you an impression of how rare these shirts are, ebay prices start at 500€ and reach easily the 1300€. Yes you heart correctly. Imagine yourself investing this amount of money for one shirt, which the majority of the people make puke? So H&M totally adapted this concept. Most of the designs are ridiculous, like the longsleeve and the tees, the patterns are terrible. The scarfs look cheap, so does the trucker cap. But its easier and faster to noune the highlights, like the heavy bikerjacket which is equipped with golden studs at the rever in the typical greek versace style (300€). Another outstanding piece is the velvet blouson (100€ but it looks too short) with the catching sleeves. We guess thats it Not really overwhelming dont you think so? We left the unacceptable pieces out, because we dont want to be responsible for you gettin eye cancer! We actually added the colourful belt and a golden chain from the womens collection.
